Hello,
I will be ordering a GPS development kit from SOCSolutions based on
the Zarlink baseband processor, and using the OpenSource GPS software
to get fixes. I would like to use "extended ephemeris" data so I can
get a faster TTFF without having to download ephemeris data from the
GPS satellites.
Has anyone tried to do this with OpenSource GPS? I know that Global
Locate provides Long-Term Orbit data that can generate ephemeris data
that is good for up to 1 week:
http://www.globallocate.com/NETWORK/NET_WWRN_frameset.htm
Has anyone used this service, and if so, has anyone developed software
to convert the ephemeris format used by Global Locate to the form used
by OpenSource GPS?
Thanks,
Stephen Fenwick
