[OpenSource_GPS] What happens when accumulation is missing?

Hi everybody...

could someone explain what happens when an accumulation is missing?
The channel should be reset and back to acquisition or it can be kept in
the same status?
Seems to me that if it is in tracking status, it should go to back align.
Anyway, should the count of miliseconds  still be updated?
